Well, it sure had to be said! I definitely had to share this article. I might be wrong but seems like if you are / were at some point involved in academia and you are part of Architectural industry  you will definitely find that thought-provoking to say the least.

This is a blog post by David Rutten – a self-taught software developer (creator of Grasshopper) that works for McNeel and an ex-architectural student himself.

The article is called “Worrisome Trends in Architecture Education” and it brings up a LOT of things about our profession (both process and product), architectural education and design in general.

In my opinion this article needs to be given as a handout to every single student in the beginning of each school term and printed and put on the wall in every architectural firm and should be reread before taking on any design.
